Wonderopolis Explorer Program
National Center for Families Learning
The Wonderopolis Explorer Program is a 10-week learning experience with easy-to-follow digital lesson plans and hands-on activities for out-of-school time learners. It is designed to engage groups with content from Wonderopolis.org, an award-winning website provided by the National Center for Families Learning.
Each Explorer Program activity includes step-by-step instructions to support facilitators in guiding learners as they investigate a topic and engage in project-based learning.
Developed as a “camp” learning concept, these lessons are easily adaptable for families, homeschooling co-ops, and other out-of-school learning opportunities.

I also wrote half the themes in this program and edited the other half. My coworker and I developed a template and worked together to create this program, aimed at out-of-school-time programs. We purposefully created the content using non-teacher language, as we considered the fact that high school students might facilitate and made sure we included all the strategies we could.
