Hi, Friends!

It’s been a minute since I posted on the blog, but things like that happen, right?

I thought I’d drop a post and let everyone know what’s brewing over here. As always, I’ve got some great titles I’m editing this spring and summer. I have a few fall and winter slots remaining if you’re interested in having me work on your next title.

Of special note, I’m doing some educational (K-12) editing, finally! I’m utterly in love with the content, and I hope I’m making it even better. I’ll wrap that up late August/early September.

I’m starting to do work on my author portal in earnest. I am Alpha testing this Notion-based platform with an author who is as obsessed with Notion as I am, now. I just want to make sure everything works right before I get everyone using it. Additionally, I want to get some of my bite-sized mini courses completed so I have material to share with authors as they’re writing—especially in that developmental editing phase where it’s crucial that we carefully craft all aspects of the work. And, naturally, I want to provide a video walkthrough for using the entire system before making it part of my practice here at Purple Pen.

Bring me your cozy mystery and romantasy titles for editing, too. I’ve been studying and analyzing these genres through personal reading, and I’m confident I can support authors who write in these genres, too. I’m proofreading for one cozy mystery author already!
